One crew, three fields

The same signature
on every aircraft maintenance job.

Alpha Company Aviation runs aircraft maintenance out of three hangars in DeLand, Sanford, and Venice, plus mobile units that work as a fourth shop across the Southeast. The crew, the standard, and the paperwork are the same at every one. When your airplane rolls into any of our fields, the inspection checklist, the squawk sheet, the logbook entry all read the same way, because it's the same crew of FAA A&P and IA technicians behind every signature.

We run three hangars because owners and operators are spread out across the region, and the closest shop is the one that gets your airplane back in the air soonest. DeLand (KDED) handles piston work, annuals, and fleet support. Sanford (KSFB) at Orlando Sanford International handles piston work and pre-buy inspections. Venice (KVNC) is our on-field Skyport FBO partner, co-located with the Alpha Company Aviation flight school. Any of the three can take your airplane.

All three are still growing, and the mobile units fill the gaps in between. If you want the shorter version of who we are and how we work, start on the Alpha Company Aviation home page, then pick the hangar below that's closest to you.

FIG. KDED   DeLand Municipal Airport (KDED)

Base 01 · KDED

Aircraft maintenance in DeLand, FL (KDED).

DeLand Municipal Airport (KDED) is a fleet-support base, so if you run a flight school or a small operator, this is where we keep aircraft on a scheduled inspection cadence, so a squawk gets caught on schedule instead of on the ramp. A lot of the work here is piston, the Lycoming and Continental singles and light twins that make up general aviation, and the hangar is set up for annuals, 100-hour inspections, powerplant work, and the daily squawk list that keeps a working airplane in the air.

Mobile dispatch for the central and eastern side of the state starts here too. If you're grounded at a field near DeLand, a stocked van and an A&P can come to you instead of the other way around. For the full range of what the shop signs off, see all of our aircraft maintenance services, or read exactly how an annual inspection actually goes before you drop off.

DeLand Municipal Airport is a city-owned public field in Volusia County, three miles northeast of downtown. You can read more about the airport on its public airport record.

FIG. KSFB   Orlando Sanford International, pre-buy base

Base 02 · KSFB

Aircraft maintenance in Sanford, FL (KSFB).

Orlando Sanford International (KSFB) is our base on the Orlando side, and it's where a lot of our pre-buy inspection work runs. A pre-buy is a big decision made under time pressure, and having a hangar at a major field means a buyer can get an airplane looked at properly before wiring the money. We run a pre-buy as deep as an annual, with a logbook deep-dive, an FAA-referenced airworthiness directive audit, and a straight written report.

Piston aircraft maintenance and mobile dispatch run out of Sanford as well, covering the Orlando area and the fields around it. Same checklist, same documentation, and the same A&P and IA signature you get at the other two hangars. If a grounded airplane can't wait, the same base feeds our 24/7 AOG response.

Orlando Sanford International is one of Florida's busier airports, which keeps parts, avionics partners, and a steady flow of aircraft close at hand. You can read more on the airport's official website.

Venice Municipal Airport KVNC welcome sign, home of Alpha Company Aviation aircraft maintenance in Venice FL
FIG. KVNC   Venice Municipal Airport, on-field Skyport FBO partner

Base 03 · KVNC

Aircraft maintenance in Venice, FL (KVNC).

Venice Municipal Airport (KVNC) is our Gulf-side base and our on-field Skyport FBO partner. It's also home to our Venice flight school, so student pilots, renters, and owners all cross paths on the same ramp. Piston aircraft maintenance and mobile dispatch run from here, covering Venice, Sarasota, Fort Myers, and the fields down the coast.

Because Venice is where the office sits, it's also the easiest place to walk in and talk to a person about your airplane. The mobile units based here meet owners on the ramp when the airplane can't come to the hangar, which on the Gulf side is often the quickest way to clear a squawk.

Venice Municipal Airport is a city-managed public field in Sarasota County, two miles south of downtown. You can read more on its public airport record. If you fly the Gulf coast, this is your closest Alpha Company hangar.

The fourth shop

Coverage across
the Southeast.

Between the three hangars and the mobile units, our aircraft maintenance coverage is Florida and Georgia, the Southeast. The mobile units are the fourth shop, and they're how we reach the fields that don't have one of our hangars on them. A stocked van and an A&P meet you on the ramp, whether you're grounded at home or stuck somewhere far from it.

We're still adding hangars as we grow, so if your field isn't on the list below, call and ask. We'll tell you straight whether we can reach you. For a grounded airplane that can't wait, our AOG dispatch runs around the clock from the nearest hangar. For work you can schedule, open a work order and pick the field that fits you.

Frequently asked

Location questions,
answered straight.

If yours is not here, call (941) 375-9727 and we will point you to the right hangar.

Where are your aircraft maintenance hangars?

We run three hangars in the Southeast: KDED at DeLand Municipal Airport, KSFB at Orlando Sanford International, and KVNC at Venice Municipal Airport. Mobile units work as a fourth shop and reach the fields in between. Our office sits at 224 Airport Ave E, Venice, FL 34285.

Do you come to my airport?

Often, yes. Mobile units dispatch from the nearest hangar and cover Florida and Georgia, the Southeast. If you're grounded at a field without one of our hangars on it, call the office at (941) 375-9727 or the AOG line at (941) 661-7865 and we'll tell you honestly whether we can reach you.

Which location handles pre-buy inspections?

Our Sanford base at Orlando Sanford International (KSFB) runs a lot of the pre-buy work, but any of the three hangars can take one on. We run a pre-buy as deep as an annual, with a logbook deep-dive, an airworthiness directive audit, and a straight written report so you know exactly what you're buying.

Which hangar handles Robinson helicopter service?

Robinson helicopter work is scheduled through the shop as a Robinson Authorized Service Center. Call the office at (941) 375-9727 and we route the aircraft to the right hangar and the right technicians. The shop is authorized on the R44 and maintains other helicopters too. See the Robinson helicopter service page for the full breakdown.

What are your hours?

The hangars keep shop hours Monday through Friday, roughly 8 to 5. The AOG line at (941) 661-7865 runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, because a grounded airplane doesn't keep business hours.

Pick the hangar closest to you at DeLand, Sanford, or Venice, or let the mobile units come to you. For a grounded airplane, call the AOG line. For scheduled aircraft maintenance, open a work order and we'll confirm the field and the plan.
